Buster: Yankees Likely To Retain Cashman’s Contract [AUDIO]

The Yankees are currently four games back from the second wild card and nine games back in the AL East. With general manager Brian Cashman's contract done at the end of this year, will the pinstripes go a different direction?

"I was told earlier this week that there's no expectation that they'll change," said Buster Olney, on 104.5 The Team. "The relationship between Steinbrenner and Cashman is good, and in all likelihood he's going to be back."

Hal Steinbrenner told the media last week that the team would address the issue in the off-season.

The Yankees have won four World Series Championships since Cashman was hired in 1998.
