The New York Football Giants are somehow some way one game out from the playoffs in the NFC conference standings.  Tommy DeVito has won them three consecutive games and got a great win over a good Green Bay Packers team on Monday Night Football.  Now they visit the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in what is now a meaningful game.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

The Giants have played themselves back into playoff contention with a 5-8 record which is pathetic but true. And hard to believe but Tommy DeVito a practice squad quarterback is leading the way. When you engineer a 4th quarterback comeback like DeVito did on Monday against Green Bay you have to take notice because that's always a bench march for a quarterback leading a comeback in the close minutes of a game. With DeVito the Jersey kid becoming a fan favorite the Giants are only one game out of a playoff spot. Can't wait to see if the Giants can keep it rolling at New Orleans but the prediction, they will struggle against a very mediocre team in the Saints.

I do believe the DeVito story is cool but can be a bit much at times.  But he has a large following and the shots of his family in the stands is awesome.  His legend will surely continue if the Giants get the road win against the Saints.  Giants fans finally can celebrate something this season and that is something that they definitely deserve.
