I'm not a big fan of throwing the ball back into the stands after a homerun.  I think it's a pretty lame tradition in baseball.

But yesterday, a Cubs fan proved that throwing the ball back after an opponent's homerun can be quite entertaining.

It happened in the 9th inning of the San Francisco's 13-7 victory over Chicago in the first game of their day-night doubleheader sweep.

The Giants' Miguel Tejada hit a homerun to the leftfield bleachers at Wrigley Field. The fan not only grabbed the homer without a glove but then proceeded to throw it back onto the field - the infield that is!

The ball landed in the infield on one bounce and then continued toward the Giants dugout.  The Cubs sure could use that guy in their outfield!
