Joe Girardi and Derek Jeter may want to ignore the fact that this year will be seen as a "Farewell Tour" for the Captain, but clearly they are the only ones. Jeter was honored twice in two days.

Sunday the Chicago White Sox finished thier series by giving Jeter a miniature Yankees bench made out of bats, balls and bases, some U.S. Cellular Field shortstop dirt in a glass container with legendary shortstops' names on it and a $5,000 check made out to Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation. Paul Konerko who is also retiring this season stood by Jeter for the ceremony.

Then Monday the St Louis Cardinals turn. Jeter received cuff links that bear Stan "The Man" Musial's likeness and a check for $10,000 for Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation. It was pretty cool seeing "The Wizard of Oz" Ozzie Smith one of the games greatest Short Stops out there with Jeter.
