ESPN Radio 104.5 Athlete of the Week

Hard to believe we are now in the fourth week of the high school sports fall season. After two straight weeks on the gridiron, we have moved to the pitch for our ESPN Radio 104.5 Athlete of the Week.

Sophia Constantine is a defender on the Niskayuna Girls Soccer team. As a defender, she isn't expected to score, nevertheless to be one of the team leaders in scoring.

Constantine is second for the Silver Warriors this season with eight points (4 g, 4a). She is a major reason why Niskayuna is 7-2-1 overall this season.

Last week, Constantine totaled a five points in all. She had an assist against Mohonasen on Sept. 13 and added two goals and two assists each in a Sept. 18 win over Averill Park.

Favorite Hobby Outside of Soccer: Doing crossfit- I've made a lot of good friends through it and I love seeing the results.

Favorite Part of Playing for Niskayuna: Being able to work hard as a team and also have fun because we're all friends.

College Plans: I will be attending The College of Saint Rose in the fall of 2015 to play soccer and study business.
