ESPN's Jenn Brown recently took some batting practice with the South Carolina Gamecocks at the College World Series.  I hate to say it, but I'm not impressed with her batting skills.

I admit; it took me a little while to come to the realization that ESPN's Jenn Brown didn't have a stellar performance in this video.  A little piece of me just died when I typed that last sentence, but I have to call it like it is.  Sure, Jenn Brown is lovely, but you can't let her beauty essentially seduce your opinion of her batting skills.

Jenn Brown could barely get the ball out of the infield.  Yeah, she switched from lefty to righty, but she barely made contact.  How impressive is it to switch hit if you can't hit the ball?  Maybe Jenn is just a little rusty.  I can tell that she definitely has some athleticism, so I'll chalk this effort up to her possibly being rusty.  There, I feel a little better about myself.  I just can't say that her effort was awesome.

I doubt that anybody would be saying Jenn Brown's effort was great if Jenn Brown wasn't beautiful.  Ya know?  You can't grade on a beauty curve.  You have to be unbiased.  Okay, I'm completely breaking down Jenn Brown taking batting practice.  I need to move on with life now.
