Former UAlbany Great Dane Jared Verse Is Succeeding At FSU

Jared Verse was an absolute stud at the University at Albany a few seasons ago.  The fact that is now been so dominant at Florida State and is one of the top projected draft picks in the 2024 NFL Draft is amazing to me.  He is playing at an elite level in the ACC and opposing teams especially quarterbacks fear him very much.  He tore up the CAA conference therefore entered the transfer portal and ended up with the Seminoles.  UAlbany football head coach Greg Gattuso has a knack for recruiting elite level defensive ends such as Verse and Aaron Donald when he was at the University of Pittsburgh.  Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

I still pinch myself watching defense end Jared Verse dominate the game of college football at Florida State when just a few years ago he was doing the exact same thing at the University at Albany. UAlbany head coach Greg Gattuso landed Verse before anyone else knew how good he was. It didn't take long before Verse realized he could play at the next level and when he entered the portal, he could have played at any school in the country. Verse is on track to helping Florida State win a National Championship before we start watching him on Sundays in the NFL.

The UAlbany team this year has a very good and improved defense just imagine if they still had Jared Verse.  I continue to root for him at FSU and know he will have a successful career in the NFL here soon.
