With Will Beatty going down due to a torn pectoral muscle and now out for five to six months, the Giants need help at left tackle. What about the most veteran offensive lineman available in right guard Geoff Schwartz?

"I don’t think so," said Schwartz, to Armen and Levack on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio.

"I played [left tackle] once in a preseason game, when I was in Carolina. We had a couple injuries and some o-linemen were like, 'Why don’t we put Schwartz at left tackle?'

"My o-line coach was like, 'Geoff Schwartz will never play left tackle'. This was in Carolina, it was pretty funny but I don’t see myself as a left tackle. I never have played left tackle and it will probably stay that way."

Right tackle is a different story as that's where Schwartz played last year for the Giants when they experienced injuries.

"I feel comfortable at right tackle. I’m sure during every week of OTAs and training camp that the o-line will be jumbled trying to find who the best five are going to be."

Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz joins Armen and Levack every Tuesday at 5:15p ET on 104.5 The Team.
