The New York Giants may be the Super Bowl Champions, they may be leading their division and they may have a superstar quarterback, but that simply isn't enough for the fans of Cincinnati. Due to the Bengals inability to sell out Sunday's home game against the Giants, the NFL has announced that the game will be blacked out in that area.
As we countdown to Game One of the World Series tonight, I can’t help but notice how much the San Francisco Giants remind me of another NL team: The New York Mets.
For anyone still reading, I’m serious, just follow me for a minute. When you look at the Detroit Tigers you see a powerhouse of stars; the best pitcher in the game, a triple crown winner and a larger than life “Prince” of a clean-up hitter. If the Mets want to try and build something like that they’re going to need a decade, a Government bailout and probably some new owners. But, when you look over at the Giants, you see a team built on great pitching and balance, a recipe that the Mets are very close to cooking up themselves.

There’s a reason that most NFL teams are opposed to the new full season of Thursday Night Football, and it’s not because it’s on a school night. After an physical comeback victory in the Meadowlands on Sunday, the New York Giants will be without many of their key offensive players tomorrow, when they take on the Panthers in Carolina.
Yesterday’s Giants win was an epic comeback with more ups and down’s than the Oregon Ducks mascot in a shoot out. Eli Manning pulled off a flawless performance of Jeckel and Hyde, and the team somehow managed to win a game that we had no business winning over a team that they had no business losing to. As a fan, it was one hell of a trip. Me and Joe Bianchino, my Cover 2 co-host tweeted our way through the guts, to the glory throughout the game. Here’s how the drama went down, from the eyes of Giants fans:
Rainy conditions forced the Giants to practice on the UAlbany turf lacrosse field today, which limited the teams space, but provided an upgraded viewing experience for the fans. After practice Coughlin wasn’t too upset about the predicament, saying, “we did the best we could with one field.” I was roaming the sidelines throughout the entire session; here is a summary of my notes.

This happened to Julie Armento when the news came that football player Brandon Jacobs was leaving the New York Giants for the San Francisco 49ers and her 6-year-old son Joseph wanted answers.
