The New York Giants made a splash this morning as they signed the top corner back on the market in former Ram Janoris Jenkins. Jenkins will most likely replace fellow free agent Prince Amukamara in the Giants secondary.

ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news this morning on Twitter:

"Biggest CB domino expected to fall after new league year kicks off: Rams CB Janoris Jenkins is poised to join NY Giants, sources tell ESPN."

The deal is rumored to be upwards of 4 years and $12 million per season, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Last season, Jenkins had three interceptions and 15 passes defended along with 64 tackles for the Rams. Jenkins is a solid improvement from Amukamara and alongside Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie pose as a formidable duo on the outside of the Giants defense.

The Giants are now setting their sights on Olivier Vernon who was transition tagged by the Miami Dolphins this past week. The transition tag allows a player to seek another deal, but that deal to be matched by the team that tagged him if they so choose.

What do you think of the addition of Jenkins to the Giants secondary?
