The UAlbany football team has a chance to improve to 2-2 overall against Morgan State on the road on Saturday night at 6 p.m.  They beat Fordham to open the season at home and then lost to both Marshall and Hawaii on the road but held their own and competed against two solid FBS teams.  Morgan State is no joke and it should be a very good and competitive game.  Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

UAlbany football team needs a win Saturday at Morgan State to even their non-conference record at 2-2 and to set them up for the start of the CAA schedule next Saturday at home against Villanova. Head Coach Greg Gattuso has a team that can make a run in the CAA this season and that's based on watching the Great Danes suffer close loses to FBS schools on the road at Marshall and Hawaii. The biggest difference is the improvement on defense. It’s a group that can get to the quarterback and defend the pass two areas they struggled with last season. A win at Morgan State sets the tone for the rest of the season.

MJ and I have on head coach Greg Gattuso every Wednesday at 11:30 right here on Big Board Sports.  He talked about this week's matchup with us in studio.  Below is our full interview with him.

I expect a good game and am predicting a UAlbany win on Saturday.  They have looked and played well especially on defense.  This teams feels different this year and much better than last year.
