I love watching our local high school products succeed at the Division I college level.  There is no better example of that than Joseph Girard III.  He had quite a successful career at Syracuse but it looks like he may be having more fun at Clemson.  The Tigers are off to a undefeated 6-0 start and Girard seems loser and the system he is in seems way more beneficial for him.  He is coming off a 16 point performance at #23 Alabama on Tuesday night.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

Joseph Girard looks good in a Clemson uniform. JG3 the Glen Falls phenom decided to leave Syracuse and finish his collegiate career with Clemson a team that has a chance to win the ACC championship and make a deep run in the NCAA tournament in March. Syracuse will be lucky to make the tournament and Girard wore out his welcome at the Dome and is better fit in Clemson. Girard knocked down 16 points on Tuesday in a Tigers win at No. 23 Alabama and he looked like he was having fun. Girard wasn't having fun anymore in Syracuse so you can't blame him for wanting a change in scenery.

Clemson will be legit in the ACC this season and Girard will play a big part as the point guard and shooting guard for the Tigers.  I along with the entire Capital Region are rooting for JG3 to continue succeeding at a high level with his new home at Clemson.
