How Much Did Michael Jordan – Dean Smith Recruiting Sell For?

I harken back to when my high school buddy, now a professional athlete, would throw his college recruiting letters in the back seat of his car to get stepped on.

If Michael Jordan would’ve done that with his recruiting letter from Dean Smith in 1980 then that would’ve made this weekend much less fun.

Recently found in a storage locker was numerous items of Jordan’s that date back to his high school and college days.

Goldin Auctions opened up bidding on these items earlier today and here’s what they went for:
Jordan’s UNC diploma: $20,785
Recruiting letter from assistant coach Bill Guthridge: $4,732
Letter from Dean Smith: $27,009
Dream Team uniform: $32,682
