We've talked a lot about Maple Hill graduate Jaime Schultz this season at 1045theteam.com, and on Tuesday morning, Schultz talked with us.

Schultz is 5-3 this season with a 3.11 ERA for the Montgomery Biscuits, the AA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. His fastball reaches 97 MPH, and his stellar breaking ball have helped him dominate the Southern League -- and he was recently named to the Southern League All-Star Game.

We asked Schultz what has been the biggest key to his strong season thus far, what he hopes to work on in the season's second half, and then we asked him about Niskayuna senior Garrett Whitley, who could eventually be his teammate after being drafted by the Rays last week.

"I'm looking forward to meeting him, and I told him that if he had questions to let me know. I think it's going to be a great experience for him and it's awesome to have a guy of that caliber come to the Rays," he said.

Finally, we asked Schultz if he had any idea of his timeline to get called up to AAA.
