Well the injuries to Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith supposedly had the Jets reaching out to potential quarterbacks.

What they didn't count on was quarterbacks reaching out to them...

Ah, Jared Lorenzen... The "Hefty Lefty." The "Pillsbury Throwboy."

I love everything about this tweet. Lorenzen, a former undrafted free agent who signed with the New York Giants, spent four seasons in the NFL, including as Eli Manning's backup when the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2008.

Lorenzen played his college ball at Kentucky.

Maybe the best thing I've seen on the internet in a long time is a 2014 SB Nation article which said Lorenzen was over 300 pounds and playing in something called the Continental Indoor Football League.

That video right there may be the best thing I've ever seen on vine. Lorenzen isn't an NFL option, but it's nice that he has potential NFL teams on speed dial.

Lorenzen threw eight passes in his NFL career.
