I absolutely love college football and the CFP semifinals on Monday both couldn't have been better games.  They both came down to the final play and one game even went to overtime.  Michigan beat Alabama 27-20 and Washington beat Texas 37-31.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
2024 will be a better season for College Football because the NCAA committee will invite 12 teams instead of 4 to compete for the National Championship. This will give teams in the Top 10 a chance to prove they can beat the Top 4 which will add to the excitement of the regular season and postseason. And if the rest of teams who don't make the Top 12 aren't interested in playing in a Bowl game, then let's not force as many meaningless Bowl games. It was hard to watch Florida State with 30 players opting out getting blown out by Georgia in one of the Marquee matchups and Penn State head coach James Franklin whining that his team was shorthanded against Ole Miss which they were but then let's not play the game. If we can't figure out how to get players not to opt out, then let's just have the Top 12 teams fight it out knowing all teams will be competing at a high-level and do away with the rest of the Bowl games.

Now the stage is set for the 2024 National Championship Monday January 8th at 7:30 in Houston Texas.  I like Michigan in a close game because I just think they are superior in all three phases.
