Sometimes great matchups fall into the laps of schedule makers and that's exactly what has happened with the season opener for the Knicks. When a trade was struck to send Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder, the Knicks already had Oklahoma City on its schedule to start the 2017-'18 season and naturally drama was created for New York's opener.

This is Kristaps Porzingis' show now without the future Hall of Famer in Knicks blue and orange. New York has more players 25 and under (7) than any other team in the NBA so if I'm a Knicks fan, I'm excited to watch this group win or lose. For years, fans have been asking for a reset of sorts with an eye towards building a winner.
