One thing that the New York Mets need going into the 2012 season is pitching, and by trading Angel Pagan to the Giants, they pick up exactly that.  Yesterday they traded Pagan to San Fran and in exchange they will receive outfielder Andres Torres and reliever Ramon Ramirez.  They also pick up pitchers Frank Francisco and Jon Rauch.

Mets manager Terry Collins said that going into the winter meetings that the bullpen was their biggest priority.  Collins said that the pick up of the three arms they got is amazing.  he also added that the team will miss Angel Pagan, who primarily filled in for Carlos Beltran beforeBeltran made the move to right field from center.  He now rejoins him in San Francisco.
