The Jets (5-6) and Giants (5-7) have been themselves in difficult situations if the post-season is even a thought.

Because of their success in recent years (Super Bowl Champs in '07 and '11), the Giants always have post-season aspirations. But with another loss on their, nine wins will not be attainable which makes it tough to believe they could play past December.

PODCAST: Armen Previews Jets and Giants

Even though they're on the road, the Giants have a winnable game against the 3-8 Redskins who are reeling with Robert Griffin III who has melted down recently in his second NFL season.

Not to mention, the Giants are on a national Sunday Night Football stage. Another embarrassment would be tough to swallow for the already-frustrated New York fan base.

No one expected the Jets to make the playoffs to start the season nor should anyone now. But if they're going to do so, they might have to win out and definitely can't lose more than one.

The Jets are at home, looking to bounce back from their first losing skid of the season and the warm climate Miami Dolphins might be a good place to start.

Dear Geno Smith, as we say every week, doesn't have to win the game for his team - just needs to make sure he doesn'tloseit.

Dolphins-Jets kick off at 1 o'clock today with coverage beginning at 12 noon. The game can only be heard on your home for New York Jets football - 104.5 The Team.
