Casper Wells seems to be fitting in with his new team quite well.

The Schenectady native hit a 2-run homerun as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night, 4-2.

Wells, who came to Seattle in a four-player trade with Detroit on Saturday, connected on a full-count pitch from Rich Harden in the 6th inning.  His 2-run shot proved to be the game-winner.

It was Wells' first homer since he went deep on June 24 for the Tigers against Arizona.  Since his trade to the Mariners, Wells has started 3 straight games in left field - going 5 for 11 with a homerun and 3 RBI's.

For the season, the Schenectady High School graduate is hitting .266 with 5 HRs and 15 RBIs in 67 total games.
