Syracuse guard Scoop Jardine got emotional following Cuse's 77-70 loss to Ohio State in the NCAA Tournament.  Scoop still believes that Syracuse is the best team in the country.  Huh?

Syracuse lost to Ohio State 77-70 on Saturday night.  The Orange lost in the East Regional final of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.  It was the first trip to the Elite 8 for Syracuse since they won the championship in 2003.  The game was tied 29-29 at halftime.  Ohio State was able to pull away late.  The officiating was a sticking point for a lot of Syracuse fans.  The Buckeyes attempted 17 more free throws than Syracuse.

Scoop Jardine was noticeably emotional after the loss.  Who can blame him?  His career at Syracuse just came to an end.  Plus, his team just lost a very emotional game against Ohio State.  I'll cut the guy a little slack (just a little) for saying that he believes Syracuse is the best team in the country.  The best team in the country doesn't get bounced before the Final Four.
