In the throes of a three game losing streak, and mired in a swamp of injuries, poor effort and mediocrity, the Giants will host the undefeated Packers. Oh boy.
Coming into this Monday Night game it was going to be hard for the Giants to put forth a more disgusting effort than they did last week. Then the game started.
Yikes whose wounds are deeper-The Jets lost to a guy who can't throw a forward pass. The Giants lost to a guy who many (not I) think is the worst QB in the NFL (not me) and the Bills lost to a guy who couldn't stick in Carolina. Yikes!!...
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. For what was, when you check the upcoming schedule, close to a must win for the Giants, the team failed to get off the bus. And in what can only be described as an unmitigated disaster, the Giants fell to the Eagles.
Coming home off a disappointing loss in San Francisco, the Giants will host the Eagles and look to put the woefully underwhelming team out of their misery. This is Diary of a Giants Fan, @JoeBianchino.
Basking in the still warm glow of an important win over the Patriots, we pause to preview game two of the Giants' gauntlet of a second half schedule. The Giants fly to the west coast to play the surprisingly 7-1 49ers.
What can I possibly say about that game that has any chance of living up to the spectacle it was. I'm not sure Bill freaking Shakespeare could pen words brilliant enough to describe the game that just happened, but I'll give it a shot. The New York Giants, as injury depleted a team as there is, an unequivocal underdog, went into New England and stole a win from the mighty Patriots.
5-2. Who knew? First place in the NFC-East. Who saw that coming? Two possibly devastating injuries to stars? Well, that one's pretty much par for the course this year. With no word on whether Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) or Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) will be available, the Giants will begin to run the gauntlet that is their second half schedule on Sunday when they take on the New England Patriots. T
Well...They won the damn game. What can you say? It was ugly. It was frustrating. It was harder than it should have been. It was as disappointing as a win can possibly be. But it was a win. They won the damn game. This is Diary of a Giants fan. Follow me on Twitter @JoeBianchino
Seeking atonement for their sinful loss to Seattle in week five the Giants took to the field against the surprising 4-1 Buffalo Bills. Indeed, it was atonement they would find as Eli Manning would lead his team to a gutsy and impressive 27-24 win. Redemption! Thy Name is Giants!
Admittedly folks, I'm still getting over the Seahawks game - even though I kind of saw it coming. I mean, how do you lose to that complete dumpster fire of an organization? But I come to you today with a renewed sense of defiance. Why? Because the 4-1 Buffalo Bills invade the Swamps of Jersey this week, and isn't this the type of game the Giants just get up for?
