The magical run of Union College is over as Ferris State defeats them in the Frozen Four from Tampa Bay on Thursday, 3-1.

Thursday is the big game for The Union Dutchmen.  They are now one step closer to a National Title, and Brian Cady is going to take you through their match up with Ferris State.

Union College Hockey sophomore defenseman Mat Bodie dropped by "The Noe Show" on Wednesday to preview the upcoming Frozen Four matchup against Ferris State.

The third-ranked team in the country is ready to compete in the "Frozen Four" tomorrow afternoon in Tampa Bay, and 104.5 "The Team" is getting you ready for all the college hockey action! Union College is already in Tampa preparing for their National Semifinal contest against Ferris State, and we've been keeping tabs on the Dutchmen throughout the NCAA Tournament.

For No. 3/3 Union (26-7-7, 14-4-4), a historic season continues in Tampa, as the Dutchmen will take on No. 9/4 Ferris State (25-11-1, 16-7-5 CCHA) with a berth in the national championship game at stake. For the first time in program history the Union College men's ice hockey team (26-7-7, 14-4-4 ECAC Hockey) is going to the Frozen Four. The Dutchmen won the NCAA Division I East Regional title game at Webster Bank Arena on Saturday night, defeating UMass-Lowell, 4-2.

Union College's first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament didn't last long. The 2nd seeded Dutchmen lost to #3 seed Minnesota-Duluth, 2-0, in the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey East Regional Semifinals in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

I think the best time of year for sports is October, I mean come on you have the World Series, NFL, NHL, NBA, and even NASCAR is heading towards their championship. But this time is a close second with baseball starting NHL playoffs on the horizon and of course the best of all the NCAA Men’s Hockey tournament.
