March Madness is now officially underway.  For a college basketball fan, this is the day you've been waiting for all season long. The first Thursday of the NCAA Tournament is the best sports day of the year.  It's not even close!

I've analyzed, theorized, generalized, rationalized and hypothesized.  I've speculated, contemplated, ruminated and prognosticated.  And out of it all has come...My Bracket.

The 2011 NCAA Tournament brackets have been unveiled. Plenty of whining and crying has followed.

Okay, so you're getting ready to fill out your NCAA Tournament brackets and you're struggling to pick upsets, choose game-by-game winners or even pick your Final Four. I've got your solution.

Brian Sinkoff was joined on "Sound-off with Sinkoff" Monday (3/14/11) by Penn State senior point guard Talor Battle.

Normally, the Monday directly following Selection Sunday is full of whining and crying.  It's all about who got left out of the tournament, who got in but doesn't deserve to be, and who is seeded improperly.  Wha, wha, wha.  Let's look at the bright side instead of the focusing solely on borderline teams who snuck in or got left out.

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament gets underway on Thursday (well, really on Tuesday - but I'm not counting the "play-in" games) and the Capital Region will be well represented.

Congrats to Anthony!  He was the winner of the Last Man Standing Contest at Bobby T's in Albany.  Check out all the great photos - including must-see photos from the Wing Eating Contest.

Glens Falls' Jimmer Fredette isn't the only former Section II basketball standout getting it done at the next level.  Bishop Maginn graduate Talor Battle has the Nitany Lions in a position to make their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years.

Cinderella's getting dressed for the bell.  She's doing her hair and making sure the glass slipper fits just right. It's the time of year when small time makes it big and when sports are at their best.  That's right Conference Tournament time.

There is no sense in having an honor code if you're not willing to punish anyone who violates it. Carson Palmer is acting like a weenie.

What are some things about sports that drive you crazy?  There are a couple of things that I had to get off of my chest as we get closer to March Madness.
