The New York Yankees look to win the series against the Boston Red Sox this afternoon at 4:05. After news of Mark Teixeira going back to New York, and finding out his bone bruise will cause him to be out 2-3 weeks, the Yankees need a positive game today. Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that he would consider using Alex Rodriguez at the position against left-handed starters such as Owens.

Pitching for the Yankees on the road today is Masahiro Tanaka, who has been solid away from home. He's in 11-5 with a 3.27 ERA in 18 career road starts.

The Yankees will be facing off against rookie lefty Henry Owens. The last time the Yankees faced the first year player they owned him. In 5 innings the Yankees had, three runs, five hits, one walk and struck out five. In Owens last two starts he's only given up two earned runs in 13 innings.

The Yankees will have a day off tomorrow, before beginning a three game series with Tampa Bay Rays, in the Bronx.
