Union men’s hockey (22-7-7), the No. 1 seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, will take on No. 4 seed Colgate (19-15-3), in a semifinal game at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on Friday at 4:30 p.m..

Union returns to the semifinals for the second time in the past three seasons, and the first since 2009-10, when the Dutchmen reached the ECAC Hockey championship game for the first time in program history.

The Raiders clinched a spot among the league’s final four with a 4-0 win over No. 5 seed Quinnipiac on Sunday night in Game 3 of an ECAC Quarterfinal series at Starr Rink.

Friday’s contest will mark the second consecutive year that Union and Colgate have met in the ECAC Hockey playoffs. Last season, Union and Colgate played in an ECAC Quarterfinal series at Messa Rink, which the Raiders won 2-1.

Union won both regular season meetings against the Raiders this season, including a 3-1 win over Colgate at Messa Rink on Feb. 3., and a Cleary Cup clinching 5-3 win on Feb. 25 at Starr Rink, the regular season finale for both teams.

No. 2 seed Cornell will take on No. 3 seed Harvard in the other ECAC Hockey Semifinal at 7:00 p.m..
