Everybody has been criticizing Zach Wilson and let's be honest it is deserved.  However on Sunday night Zach Wilson had the best game of his young NFL career by far.  He outplayed Patrick Mahomes but unfortunately the Jets didn't win in a 23-20 loss.  Zach had a costly fumble on a snap late in the fourth quarter but the loss is not on him at all.  He did his best and kept them in the game against a superior opponent in the Chiefs.  Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
The criticism of quarterback Zach Wilson goes away for at least one week. Not sure what I was watching on Sunday against Kansas City but if you're a Jets fans it must have been a pleasant surprise. Wilson has talent but this was by far the best game of his NFL career. Maybe the Jets coaching staff tweaked the game plan to suit his skill set or maybe the presence of Aaron Rodger's made a difference? Whenever it was the Jets are hoping for more of the same the rest of the season starting Sunday at Denver.

The pressure is on for General Manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh to keep putting Zach Wilson into the right situations moving forward.  The Jets have a very winnable game coming up at the Denver Broncos.  They need to realize that it's going to be a long season but Wilson needs to grow and play much better otherwise he will be benched for someone else here soon.
