In the past few years, the ESPY Awards have been held on the day following the MLB All Star game on a mid-July Wednesday night. This year the ceremony has shifted to this Sunday. In addition, the Sports Humanitarian Award have combined with the ESPY's to honor athletes, teams, foundations and more for the work they have done over the course of the last year. According to a press release  by ESPN, here are some of the nominees for Humanitarian awards

  • Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award presented by Dove Men+Care finalists: Nelson Cruz (MLB’s Minnesota Twins), Kevin Love (NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers), Devin and Jason McCourty (NFL’s New England Patriots), Maya Moore (WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx) and Titus O’Neil (WWE Superstar)

  • Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year finalists: Denver Broncos (NFL), Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB), New York City FC (MLS) and Sacramento Kings (NBA)

  • Corporate Community Impact Award finalists: Anthem Foundation, Burton Snowboards, Nike and the Peach Bowl

  • Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award: Hilinski Family

The 2020 ESPY Awards hosted by Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe & Russell Wilson will air this Sunday at 9pm on ESPN. Will you be watching this year's ESPY Awards?
