All 34 Teams That Might Play in Albany, NY for NCAA Women’s Regional Rounds
March Madness is officially underway, and for the second year in a row, the Capital Region is involved in the madness.
Downtown Albany's premier sports venue, MVP Arena, has been tapped to host Regional Semifinal and Final games in the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
So, the NCAA's First and Second Rounds (as well as the First Four Games) will take place at the home venues of teams seeded No. 1 through No. 4. Three games will be played at these locations: two first-round games, and one second-round game, which will pit the two first-round winners against one another.

Then, the eyes of the women's college basketball world shift to two venues: Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, and MVP Arena in Albany, NY. Eight teams will play at each venue in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight Rounds, with two winners from each location advancing to the Final Four.
In total, 34 teams have the possibility of playing in Albany this year, but before we get to the full list of teams, let me start with the biggest headline: Caitlin Clark, the highest scoring player in college basketball history, is two wins away from playing at MVP Arena.
How amazing might that be?
Okay, now that I've addressed that, let's get to the list. Scroll below to see each team with a chance to play in the Capital Region, and their seed heading into the tournament.
