3 Things To Know About ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Before You Go
It is finally here! 'A Quiet Place Part II', which was shot places in Western New York like places in North Tonawanda, Akron, and Grand Island may have many Western New Yorkers headed out to go see it just because of that. The movie budget for the John Krasinski-directed film was actually pretty big for the Buffalo area at about $61 million.
So far, the critics have given the movie great reviews.
People are so excited that they can go back to the movies around here that when it debuted last night, BEFORE IT EVEN STARTED, at the theater in East Aurora, people were heard clapping.
1. The movie is only an hour and a half long. An hour and 37 minutes long to be exact. Nowadays you see more and more movies being made into 2 to 2 and a half-hour long movies.
2. No, you do not need to see the first one to see the second one. Although, it would not be a bad idea to go see the first 'A Quiet Place' before you go. Nonetheless, you will not be confused if you only go see the second one.
3. There were actually quite a few extras that were needed for the show and they asked Western New Yorkers to come on down and be a part of it, so when you are watching the movie, you MAY just see people you know! If you have ever been an extra it's some weird thing that everyone becomes friends afterward (my wife and I were extras in a movie shot in East Aurora for the ION network).
Tammi Meidenbauer, local country music fan who was an extra in the movie said:
We have a really unique group of people that are tight-knit and a lot of us have stayed friends. We waited so long to do this so to come together, especially after a year of everything being shut down, everyone is really excited,” told WIVB.
