Albany’s Joe Cremo Makes All-America East First Team
Last year Scotia's Joe Cremo had to settle for All[America East Second team but not this season. This year the UAlbany Junior was named to the Pre-Season all conference team along with fellow UAlbany guard David Nichols. Cremo took the honors wire to wire following another great year.
The Times Union breaks down Cremo's college achievements:
Cremo, who was the conference Sixth Man of the Year as a freshman, is fourth on the conference in scoring at 17.4 points. He is second in assists (4.0) and assists-to-turnover ratio (2.0).
I for one am not shocked at all by Cremo's success. I remember a former coworker named Zach Bye hyping this kid up when he was a Sophomore and Junior in high school. Then I met him and realize there's no one that works harder than he does. After years of joking with UAlbany coach Will Brown about locking the gym so Cremo would get some rest it's awesome to see hard work pay off. Keep up the great work Joe Cremo, the Capital Region is Proud of you.
