Another Road Game, Another Win for the Albany Empire
It wasn't all that long ago that an Arena Football League team started a season 5-0. The Philadelphia Soul won their first five games in 2017 on the way to a 13-1 record and an Arena Bowl championship. The Albany Empire have duplicated that start, but all that will really matter to this second-year franchise is the end result in late July/early August.
Saturday night concluded a stretch of three straight games on the road for the Empire and there still is no blemish on the record. After wins at Philadelphia and Columbus, Albany beat Atlantic City at Boardwalk Hall, 54-35.
On top of it being a third straight win on the road, it is also the third straight game the Empire have scored more than 50 points. The offense has really picked up as Tommy Grady put together back to back games of seven touchdowns apiece and he tossed another five in the win at Atlantic City.
The Empire will now return home for two games in two weeks. The first of those two will be played June 1st at 3:30pm against the Washington Valor.
