After a second straight loss, the Buffalo Bills have announced that second year quarterback EJ Manuel has been benched.  Sunday, the team will start journeyman Kyle Orton under center.

Accuracy had been a problem all preseason for the former Florida State QB, and Sunday's loss to the Texans, which included two interceptions - with one INT returned for the touchdown that gave Houston a lead they'd never relinquish - proved too much to handle for Bills head coach Doug Marrone.

“We can’t keep going in the direction that we’re going,” Marrone said, adding that the team needs more production from that position.

Kyle Orton has 83 career touchdown passes with 59 career interceptions, and will try to keep the Bills from falling below .500 against the Lions on Sunday.
