Cashman Strikes Again; Yanks Gain Stability In Infield
Another brilliant move by Yankees GM Brian Cashman acquiring infielder Brandon Drury in a three team and only gave up two minor league players to get him. Cashman didn’t want to take a chance with two young players in Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres in the starting lineup. Drury comes cheap and brings experience from Arizona. Drury can play multiple positions including first base where he can backup Greg Bird. In a year when expectations are extremely, this move to get Drury makes a lot of sense.
Drury averaged .267 with 13 HR and 63 RBI last season in Arizona and will likely be the role player the Yankees need in the infield.
