On a big Saturday at Saratoga Race Course, Chad Brown was noticeably absent. Brown is the leading trainer again at the Spa this summer after all and he had the top two favorites in the Grade 1 Fourstardave. There was more at stake however in a Chicago suburb.

Brown made the trip to the midwest where he was saddling the favorite in the Arlington Million; Bricks and Mortar. The five-year old son of Giant's Causeway is owned by Latham native and Shaker High School grad Bill Lawrence who teamed up with Brown to win the Preakness Stakes in 2017 with Cloud Computing. As for Bricks and Mortar, he sent Brown to the winner's circle for the third time in Grade 1 races at Arlington on Saturday.

Sistercharlie, which came off a more-than-eight-month layoff to win the Diana Stakes earlier this summer at Saratoga, won the Beverly D. and Valid Point hit the wire first in the Secretariat Stakes.

Brown will return to Saratoga Race Course well ahead of the pack in the training title standings. The Mechanicville native has 20 wins this summer with Todd Pletcher a distant second at 9 victories.
