The Patriots received a big scare on Monday afternoon, as tight end Rob Gronkowski gingerly walked off the practice field. Gronk is one of the most vital offensive pieces in the sport and has proven it since he came in the league in 2010.

In the time that Gronk spends on the field, Pats QB ratings are 74, while they are just 54 when he is off the field. Furthermore, the Pats throw nearly 5 TDs/interception with Gronk on the field at 2 TDs/interception with him off the field.

We brought in Kevin Duffy of MassLive.com to talk about the Pats, Gronk's injury as well as injuries to Rob Ninkovich and local product Dion Lewis.

The running back is coming off ACL surgery and hasn't participated in training camp yet, so what's his status?

Finally, are the Pats still the heavy favorite in the AFC East, or can the Bills, Dolphins or Jets unseat them?
