Empire Lose On Field, But Win Off The Field

The worst performance of the season came at the wrong time for the Albany Empire, and it cost them a spot in the championship game. But, despite the stunning loss to Washington, this inaugural season was a huge success.
Arena Football is back in Albany for the first time since 1999, and the fans embraced it. The crowds were great, the team was successful, and fans can’t wait till next season. If the league can add a few more teams, the interest level and attendance will continue to grow.
