Ernie Els Wins The Open Championship

Adam Scott had an epic collapse on the final day of the Open Championship. That allowed Ernie Els to come from behind, and take the Open Championship for the second time in his career.

For the second time in his career, South African Ernie Els has won the Claret Jug. Els finished the day at seven under, beating Adam Scott by one stroke. If Scott had made a putt on the 18th, it would have sent the tournament into a playoff.

This is the 42 year olds fourth major championship, and has now won a major in three different decades.

Tiger Woods finished the Open Championship tied for third at three under, along with fellow American,Brandt Snedeker.
