Ex-Upstate NY College Football Star Helps Save Life of Reality TV Celebrity
Last week, we covered a story involving K.J. Osborn, a former wide receiver with the University at Buffalo, who was involved in saving the life of a driver who had crashed their car on a road in Texas. Osborn, as well as his Uber driver, were both credited with helping save this person's life at the time.
More details have emerged about this life-saving rescue, and among other things, we now know who was the victim in the crash: a reality TV star.

NFL Wide Receiver K.J. Osborn Involved in Saving Nelson Thomas' Life
Just over a week after the original story broke about Osborn's involvement in saving a driver's life, more details have been released about the crash. The details were revealed by the driver himself, reality TV star Nelson Thomas.
Here's what Thomas posted on Twitter:
Here is the remainder of the thread:
Thomas rose to fame as a contestant on the reality TV show, Are You the One?, and has since become a mainstay on the reality competition show, The Challenge. Thomas has competed on nine seasons of the hit show, and has been a finalist on two of the nine seasons.
Osborn, meanwhile, suited up for the University at Buffalo Bulls for three seasons, and spent four total years at the institution from 2015 through 2018. After red-shirting his freshman year, Osborn made his debut in 2016, and grew into a reliable wideout during his time in Upstate New York.
He transferred to the University of Miami to finish his collegiate career, before being drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He's been a contributing part of the Vikings' offense ever since.
In addition to Osborn, who's name will automatically make headlines (including this one) because of his status as an NFL player, a ton of credit should be given to Abdulmejied Hairedin, Rita and Arthur. These were the other people on the scene, and the ones who directly helped save Thomas' life that day.
At the end of the day, they're all just humans. In this case, however, they're humans who helped a fellow save a fellow human's life, and should be regarded as heroes for that.
