USA Softball superstar Jenny Finch is about to make baseball history on Sunday. Finch is slated to become the first woman to manage a professional men's baseball team as she will be a guest manager for the independent Atlantic League team, the Bridgeport Bluefish.

"She is an incredible athlete and a wonderful person, and we hope our fans will enjoy seeing her in a Bluefish uniform for the day," Bluefish GM Jamie Toole said.

Finch will join some great company as guest manager of the Bluefish. The likes of Pete Rose, Paul O'neil, and on August 5th, Roger Clemens have guest managed the team as well.

Whether this is a publicity stunt or not, this is a huge step for women in baseball and sports in general. We've seen women coaches in the NBA and NFL so it's only a matter of time before baseball catches on to the latest trend.
