Giants middle linebacker Jonathan Goff is out for the year with a torn ACL. He suffered the injury during Monday's practice.

This preseason was a lot for a Giants fan to deal with. Losing guys like Kevin Boss and Steve Smith to other teams was bad enough, but the injuries have been the real problem before the opener.  Now the Giants are down yet another man.

On Tuesday it was announced that Jonathan Goff had torn his ACL and would be lost for the season. Goff had just earned the starting job at middle linebacker with the New York Giants after 2 seasons of being a role player. His season and his role as the a starter came to end in a collision on Monday less then a week before the season.

The Giants are back to the drawing board when it comes to their makeshift defensive depth chart. Look for some moves out of the front office over the course of the next few days to help sure up there line backing core.
