‘Intern’ Mike’s NFL ‘Hot Picks’ Ground Philly & Sink Big Blue
'Intern Mike' Giarraputo from 'The Drive with Charlie & Dan,' rolls into Week 5 of the NFL season with a solid .550 winning percentage. On the young season, the Siena College senior has a 'Hot Picks' record: 11-8-1.
After spending extra time this week in his NFL lab in Loudonville, 'Intern Mike' is putting that winning record on the line with this week's 'Hot Picks,' including doubling-down against Jalen Hurts. Here is 'Intern Mike' Giarraputo and his NFL 'Hot Picks' for Week 5:
New York Giants @ Miami Dolphins, 1:00 PM, FOX
In what has been an absolutely disastrous first quarter to the season for the G-Men, it won’t get any easier with a Week 5 tilt in Miami. In three losses, New York has been outscored 94-15, averaging just 190 yards of total offense. The Dolphins on the other hand, are coming off an embarrassing loss to their divisional rival Buffalo Bills. Tua Tagvailloa and these weapons will cause major headaches for the reeling Giants.
PICK: Dolphins -10.5
Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts, 1:00 PM, CBS
In what should be an adequate litmus test for Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, this Titans defense comes into town off of a nearly perfect performance against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Richardson has definitely passed the eye-test, thus far. In three starts, he’s been able to make throws all over the field and add elite rushing prowess. Colts' RB Jonathan Taylor’s status for this one is still unclear, but either way, the home dog wins a close one here.
PICK: Colts +2.5
Cincinnati Bengals @ Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 PM, FOX
It’s understandable that many experts want nothing to do with picking this game, or for that matter; want anything to do with betting on the Bengals. Cincinnati is currently responsible for three of my eight losses on ‘Hot Picks’. However… I’m willing to get hurt again! Cincy claims that Joe Burrow is practicing without limitation and is the healthiest he’s been on the young season. Give me a Cincy team who needs this win more than anyone right now.
PICK: Bengals -3
Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Rams, 4:05 PM, FOX
Fifth round rookie Puka Nucua has burst on to the scene for this Rams team. He’s not only filled the shoes of the hobbled Kupp, he’s ran with them. Their offense has surprised many around the league, and now they’re adding back one of the best players in all of football in WR Cooper Kupp. This will be the toughest challenge for Philly yet, making this a very tight game.
PICK: Rams +4.5
Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers, 8:20 PM (SNF), NBC
To cap off Sunday, a star studded matchup in Santa Clara awaits us. Brock Purdy is now 12-0 in games he’s started and finished, donning a 5/1 TD/INT ratio in his young career. The Cowboys defense has beaten up on the Jets, Pats, and Giants through four weeks, but this 49ers team will come into this one with speed on both sides of the ball that’ll be too much for Dallas.
PICK: 49ers -3.5
