A big thanks to NBC, WNYT-13 anchor Chris Onorato, who did the show with me on Friday live from the Saratoga Race Track.

Onorato and I had a blast doing the show, and he also provided some serious local knowledge.

Fredette playing in China is a great thing for him. He'll get a chance to play, to make some real money, and with a four-month season only, he'll have a chance to return to the States in February or March in time to maybe make an NBA roster.

The Glens Falls native and former National Player of the Year at BYU spent last season mixing between the NBA (Pelicans and Knicks) and the D-League (Westchester Knicks).

Fredette averaged more than 20 points a game in the D-League and won MVP of the D-League All-Star Game after scoring a record 35 points.

China is a scorer's league so Fredette will have plenty of chances to do what he does best.
