Actor Alec Baldwin has advice for anyone attempting to fly in or out of any major New York airport, DON'T.
Actor Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin visited Syracuse on the weekend of November 7th and 8th. Both Baldwins were in Central New York for the 2025 Carol M. Baldwin Annual Gala fundraiser, in honor of their mother. When it was time to fly home Alec came to the conclusion that it would be a complete waste of his time. Yours too.

Alec Baldwin was scheduled to fly out of Syracuse Hancock International Airport on the afternoon of Saturday November 8th. Baldwin claims, due to the government shutdown, the experience was frustrating to say the least. His advice to fellow travelers planning to fly in or out of New York? DON'T!
Whatever you do during this shutdown, don't fly in or out of a major airport. Look up the list of airports where they are curtailing all of the landings and whatever you do, don't fly. It's a complete waste of your time to fly. - Alec Baldwin via Instagram
Alec Baldwin did go out of his way to praise Rhonda from United Airlines at Gate 21 at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, saying "she was awesome, she was great."
NBC News is reporting that flight cancellations rose 6% the day after the Senate passed a bill to end the shutdown. The majority of these cancellations are occurring at major airports such as JFK International, LaGuardia Airport and other airports in the New York area.
