As of Saturday March 1, 2024, the City of Schenectady, New York has lowered the city speed limit from 35 to 25. The goal is to improve pedestrian safety, reduce accidents and minimize the risk of serious car accidents in town. The city of Albany, as reported by WQBK, made the same adjustment in December.
