The term "joy ride" was coined by a New York Judge in 1908 and over the years the phrase has softened a bit. "While you were out for a joy ride I was home worried sick". The fact of the matter is a joy ride is the common name for a crime, "the fast and dangerous ride in a stolen vehicle".

Two individuals are suspected of stealing a vehicle from a Capital Region car dealership and taking it on a joy ride. New York State Police are asking for your help in locating these individuals.
