It's been a few weeks since police discovered the body of a woman deep in the woods near Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.  On Tuesday, police gave out more details about the discovery while identifying the woman they found on March 3rd.

On Sunday, March 3rd, at around 7 PM, Police in Troy found the body of a female near the woods just outside of Oakwood Cemetery, and on Tuesday she was identified as Sierra R. Kautzman-Boehlke, a 20-year-old from Troy, New York.

According to a Facebook post by the Troy Police, foul play was not suspected in her death, but the "investigation will remain open until all appropriate reports are received from the medical professionals who were involved with the autopsy, including the toxicology reports & official cause of death."

Community Mourns the Loss of a Friend and Student

Police didn't release much information about the young woman, but community reaction spread quickly when Ms. Kautzman-Boehlk's name was revealed to the press yesterday.

Many who commented about the news of her passing expressed shock, grief, and sadness for the young woman taken too soon, including a woman who appears to have taught Sierra at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk CSD, and another comment from someone she went to school with.
