In the midst of what has been a pretty cold and snowy winter here in Upstate New York, we have been getting many signs that spring, summer, and warmer weather will be here before we know it.

It may not feel like Spring, but there are signs it will be here soon. We are not only at the halfway point of winter, but the sun is now setting after 5 pm in the Capital Region.

Groundhog Day has passed, days are getting longer, and we may have just gotten the biggest sign yet: our first big Country concert announcement at the Great New York State Fair!

The fair had already revealed a few big shows,s including ZZ Top, Sean Paul, and the Commodores, but today they announced their first Country show for the 2026 fair concert lineup.

Trace Adkins To Bring 30th Anniversary Tour To New York State Fair

It is a big anniversary for Trace Adkins this year, and he will celebrate 30 years in Country music by hitting the road, including a show Labor Day weekend at the Great New York State Fair.

The fair announced in a press release today that Trace will perform on the Suburban Park stage at the fair on Sunday, September 5th,h at 8 pm. As always, this show is included with fair admission.

Trace's debut album 'Dreamin' Out Loud'; was released in 1996, and since then Trace has had numerous smash hits like 'This Ain't No Thinkin Thing,' 'You're Gonna Miss This,' 'Ladies Love Country Boys,' and so many more. Known for his deep booming voice and no-nonsense attitude, Trace has been a fan-favorite going on 4 decades.

This should be the first of many Country announcements from the fair, which usually bring several shows per year in the genre!

This year's fair runs from Wednesday, August 26th, through Monday, September 7th.
