With the retirement of Randy Moss, Jerry Rice is still the greatest wide receiver in NFL history.  Turns out though that Rice took Moss' lack of work ethic personally.

When you are talking about the greatest wide receivers in the NFL a few names pop up.  Michael Irvin, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Chris Carter, Randy Moss and of course Jerry Rice.  Rice is hands down the greatest WR the game has ever seen.  He owns every major stat, and if Randy Moss had worked a little harder he may of had a shot at taking down Jerry Rice.  While on ESPN radio today, Rice talked about Randy Moss and his work ethic, and he had some pretty harsh words for Randy.

To see a guy with that much talent not give it 100 percent, it was almost like a little slap in the face. But Randy was Randy.

Rice also said that he was not as talented as Moss therefore he had to work harder to get where he was at.  So it would be no shock that if Randy had taken things a bit more serious while playing that he could have, no would have been number one.

The New England Patriots was probably the best thing that ever happened to Moss. Coach Belichick isn't going to take on a diva and very rarely did he shut himself down like he did in Minnesota and Oakland.  If he had stayed with Brady, he could of gone out as legendary.  He'll probably look back at his career and wonder what could of been if at some point Randy had stopped being Randy just a little bit sooner.
