The New York Jets kept their playoff hopes alive on Sunday as they take care of business and defeat the Washington Redskins 34-19.

The Jets caused some timely turnovers and finally got their running game going. New York forced three turnovers by the Redskins, one of which was turned into a touchdown as Shonn Greene ran it into the end zone. Greene had a big game for Gang Green with 22 carries for 88 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Mark Sanchez had a mediocre afternoon going just 19 for 32 with 165 passing yards and one touchdown. But that one touchdown was a crucial go-ahead throw to Santanio Holmes in the 4th quarter that gave the Jets the lead for good.

The Jets move to 7-5 and are tied with a bunch of teams in the AFC for the final wild card spot in the playoffs. New York will still need to win the vast majority of their games to ensure them of a playoff spot as they don't have tie-breakers to Denver, Oakland, and others.
